What is FCCLA?
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a national student organization that helps students become leaders and address important personal, family, career, and community issues through Family and Consumer Sciences standards. The organization has been in effect since its founding in 1945 and has involved more than 10 million people since its founding. FCCLA has over 160,000 members and more than 5,300 chapters from 49 state associations, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands.
Benefits of FCCLA
How to join FCCLA?You can join FCCLA in the beginning of the school year by attending the first and/or second club day meetings. The only requirements to join FCCLA are, you have to have had at least 1 semester of a Family and Consumer Science course and you pay the dues by September. Dues vary every year, but are always under $20.

FCCLA is a career and technical student organization that functions as an integral part of the Family and Consumer Sciences Education curriculum and operates within the school system, and it provides opportunists for active student participation and local, state, and national levels. |

To promote personal growth and leadership development through Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Focusing on the multiple roles of family member, wage earner, and community leader, members develop skills for life through: character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and career preparation.
